Man Arrested After Evading Police
Carl Ward Jr. was arrested Sunday, December 19 after attempting to evade police officers who pulled him over on North Orchard Avenue.
Police officers in Dayton, Ohio said they attempted to pull Ward over, who proceeded to exit his vehicle and attempt to escape on foot.
He was chased and found hiding nearby in the snow. When the officers tried to handcuff him, Ward attacked one of the officers, placing them in a choke hold. The officer broke free at which point Ward was promptly arrested.
Ward now faces charges for felonious assault as well as drug charges due to the large amount of heroin found in his vehicle.
